<description>She has served as a cruise ship, military hospital ship and even as a casino ship, now she is the Galapagos Legend , the finest expedition ship in the Galapagos Islands.     Her first technical chart when built: Length: 91,5 m  Beam: 14,5 m  GRT: 2,746 t  Built: 1963 HDW, Hamburg, Germany  Operator: Hadag Seereisen  Speed: 19 kn  Passengers: 1,500 New names: J&#x26;auml;tten Finn 1965 (&#x22;artistname&#x22;), Stena Finlandica 1972,  Baltic Star 1975, Galapagos Legend from 2000, operator Galapagos Cruises  She served as a hospital ship in Da Nang, Vietnam, in 1966-71, she was known as the M/S HELGOLAND. In 2004 a complete conversion and refitting took place in order to customize her so she could become a Legend in her new home, the Galapagos Islands. Today she carries only 100 passengers and offers unique expeditions allowing visitors from around the world to enjoy the magic of the archipelago of Darwin&#x26;acute;s wake.  she has saved lives and now she changes them, a Legend in the Galapagos waters. </description>
